This is her obituary:

Also survived by her parents Linda and Arthur Benjamin, brother, Michael Benjamin, and countless other family members and friends. Laurie was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on June 17, 1963 and moved to Clear Lake City, TX where she attended high school. After marrying Tom, they moved to Beaumont and then to Austin in 1984. Laurie was intelligent and passionate about her family and her many hobbies. Laurie was an accomplished artist, interior decorater, jelwery designer, and entrepeneur selling some of her beautiful works at the 6th Street Art Festival. Laurie cherished her family, her home, and her precious kitties. She and her family were members of Celebration Church in Georgetown.
